What happens if I need to change the date or time of my ceremony?

By booking celebrancy services with Essence Of Love, you agree to the cancellation terms outlined below, in addition to any other applicable terms and conditions.

What is your policy if I need to cancel my ceremony altogether?

Cancellation Within 30 Days of Booking

If you cancel your booking within 30 days of the booking date, you will generally be entitled to a full refund of any payments made.

However, where more than one consultation has already taken place, a full refund may not be applicable, and a reasonable fee may be retained to reflect time and services already provided.

Non-Payment of Remaining Balance

If the remaining balance is not paid and your event date is within 60 days, Essence Of Love reserves the right to cancel your booking. In such circumstances, any payments already made will not be refunded.

Changes to Bookings

If you wish to amend or cancel your booking, you must notify us as soon as possible via:

Please note that certain changes may be treated as a cancellation, and the above cancellation terms may apply at the discretion of Essence Of Love.

Any changes requested within 48 hours of the event date may incur additional charges, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

How do refunds work for deposits or full payments if a booking is cancelled?

Cancellation after 30 days of booking: If you cancel your booking more than 30 days after the booking date, any payments made are non-refundable. However, you will not be required to pay any outstanding balance that remains due under the agreement. Cancellation within 60 days of the event date: If you cancel your booking within 60 days of your scheduled event date, all payments made are non-refundable. In addition, any remaining balance will be due.

Cancellation After 30 Days of Booking

If you cancel your booking more than 30 days after the booking date, any payments made are non-refundable.

However, you will not be required to pay any outstanding balance that remains due under the agreement.

Cancellation Within 60 Days of the Event Date

If you cancel your booking within 60 days of your scheduled event date, all payments made are non-refundable.

In addition, any remaining balance may still be payable, depending on the circumstances of the booking.

Cancellations by Essence Of Love

Our Cancellation Guarantee

In the unlikely event that Essence Of Love needs to cancel your booking, you will be offered a full refund of all payments made.

Events Beyond Reasonable Control (Force Majeure)

Essence Of Love shall not be held liable for cancellation or failure to deliver services due to circumstances beyond reasonable control. These may include, but are not limited to:

  • Extreme weather conditions
  • Government restrictions
  • War, terrorism, or civil unrest
  • Strikes
  • Epidemics or pandemics
  • Other unforeseen “acts of God”

In such circumstances, refunds will not be guaranteed, and the standard cancellation terms will not apply.

However, where possible, we will make every reasonable effort to offer alternative arrangements. This includes situations such as illness or other unavoidable circumstances affecting our ability to attend your ceremony.
